I cry out in grief for those who have been killed because they worship as Muslims; I cry out in grief for those who have been killed because they worship as Jews; I cry out in grief for those who have been killed because they worship as Christians, or as Hindus, or as Baha’is, or as followers of indigenous ways, and on and on. Violence against one religion does not justify violence against another religion, so cut it out. We each and all are endowed by our Creator with the right to freely gather and worship in our ways, in the ways of our ancestors, without fear. I pray we may make it so.
